Kirsty Mitchell’s Wonderland Exhibition at Mead Carney

Kirsty Mitchell’s Wonderland Exhibition at Mead Carney

Kirsty Mitchell is currently displaying 18 images from her fantastically successful ‘Wonderland’ photographic series at the prestigious West London art gallery, Mead Carney. It’s safe to say that this is an enormous show in every respect, with many of her prints reaching 2 metres in length. The tiny details that Kirsty packs into every last square inch of her images are completely deserving of such large prints. The costumes and props used throughout Wonderland are all designed and handcrafted by Kirsty and her close friends. Each costume is a work of art in it’s own right and you can only get a true sense for the level of attention to detail that goes into them when her images are brought to life in these magnificent prints.

Kirsty’s keen eye and dedication to perfecting her images lasts long after the last frame has been captured and the smoke has quite literally cleared. Running exceptionally detailed tests, Kirsty evaluates every last pixel and drop of ink to ensure that her fine art, limited edition prints meet with her approval before letting them be seen by her ever-growing fanbase. It’s this level of involvement, along with her extraordinary skill and imagination that have garnered Kirsty recognition from respected voices all over the world during the course of Wonderland’s growth – leading to her being named as Nikon Ambassador for Fine Art. There have been many articles in recent weeks focusing on her current show, including The Daily Telegraph and popular photo sharing platform – 500px.com.
